THE GREAT OUTDOORS...
"NOT ALL THOSE WHO WANDER ARE LOST"
Let me start with this...2 weeks of a dry desert wasteland, a snowy, wet, frozen mountain top and a few nights out on the town with my lady...and this baby is still like new.
When it comes to a tough, rugged watch there is no doubt that Casio has made their G Shock line the industry standard. So, when I wanted to find a watch that will stand the test of time off the grid, that's the first and only place I searched.
The G Shock Triple G Resist is the definition of a rugged, functional watch with a design that makes any guy proud. The 52mm case does keep it towards the men's watch side of the industry, but that's also part of its style. Anything smaller would come at the expense of functionality.
The multi band ATOMIC time keeping, 200 meters water resistance, digital compass, solar powered, shock and triple g resistance all secure this beast's place at the top of the food chain in outdoor watches. I know that all sounds very cool, but what the heck does it mean??
-Multi-Band Atomic Timekeeping (US, UK, Germany, Japan, China)
Receives time calibration radio signals which keep the displayed time accurate
Auto receive function (up to 6 times per day/up to 5 times per day for China)
Manual receive function
Signal: US WWVB, UK MSF, Germany DCF77, Japan JJY40/JJY60, China BPC
Frequency: US 60kHz, UK 60kHz, Germany 77.5kHz, Japan 40/60kHz, BPC 68.5kHz
-200 meter water resistance allows you all the tough, durability of any pro diver
-Digital Compass (probably my favorite feature)
20 seconds continuous measurement
Hand Indication of North
Bidirectional calibration and Northerly calibration function
-tough solar power allows a maintenance free power pack the lasts for about 10 years without having to worry about it
-Shock resistance is a staple in the G Shock line and that means the watch can take a beating like no other
-Triple G Resist construction enables it able to withstand the shock of gravitational dropping forces, centrifugal G-forces, and vibration
And he features continue...day and date, alarm, built in calendar until 2099 are all part of the charm and It is important to note that the Triple G Resist is also a world timer which for the international traveler, that is big.
The watch is very durable and comfortable to wear, I personally would like a softer band, but I totally understand the reasons they are made like they are.
All in all, most of you know G Shock, and if it's a G Shock you're looking for, the Triple G Resist will not disappoint. I've seen prices range any where from $350 to $600 so keep an eye out for the best pricing.
