JEEP LIFE AND THE GREAT OUTDOORS
"Not all those who wander are lost"
I love a good knife and there are a lot of them out there. When it comes to buying I try to ignore things like brand stereotypes and really focus on what's important to me and first and foremost, I love a good American made knife! I'm willing to spend a couple more bucks to get it too.
From there though it's all about build and functionality. Things like size, weight, shape, material used for the build, and obviously...quality of craftsmanship are all the top things to look for in a decent knife.
You know the saying, "you get what you pay for"? There's always some truth to that, but that does NOT mean you can't pick up a great knife for a decent price these days. One of my favorite and most reliable blades costs me a whopping $75 bucks. This time I wanted to step up my game up a bit though. I wanted something a little...more. So, what did I do?? I went for Kershaw's big brother!
Introducing the Zero Tolerance 0301 in ranger green with the tiger blade. This beast is OUTSTANDING! As big as it is, it's surprisingly comfortable and easily handled. The titanium fame helps keep the weight down, and the green handle against the striped blade is down right menacing. I love the look and feel!
Opening the blade is really easy. You can use the assistant on the back side of the blade or flick it out with the thumb tab, both work just fine. (My choice is always the thumb flick from the blade though). Once the clip is switched to the opposite side on the handle, you can easily grab it, release the blade and be ready to defend yourself in a single motion from your pocket.
The ZT 0301 will set you back about $275 bucks, but when you're ready for a knife like this, you can't beat it for the money. Also, keep in mind there are more affordable models in their catalog, so there really is something for everyone!
Zero Tolerance 0301:
I really can't say enough about how great this knife is. It's very impressive! In fact, my experience with the entire Kershaw family will keep me coming back again and again! I highly recommend you folks doing the same thing!
