JEEP LIFE AND THE GREAT OUTDOORS
I realize I’m not exactly early to this party, but none the less it was time to buy a new cooler for the trail. I checked my console, dug between the cushions on my couch and managed to scrape together two thousand, nine hundred and ninety nine shiny pennies to jump into the world of Yeti. I realize that Yeti is a brand that is known for high end coolers and that they are not cheap, but I had to see for myself if they actually live up to the hype.
Cooler of choice for me...the Yeti Hopper Flip 18. It is a great size for a one to three day adventure and fits perfectly behind the seat of my Jeep. The Hopper Flip 18 will set you back $299.99 though, but if this thing works it is worth every cent.
DRYHIDE™ SHELL. The Hopper’s high-density fabric is waterproof and resistant to mildew, punctures, and UV rays. The liner is made from an FDA-approved food-grade material.
Closed-cell rubber foam offers far superior cold-holding to ordinary soft coolers.
The toughest, highest-performing waterproof and leakproof cooler zipper in the world.
Ok, ok, let’s get to what matters here. Is there actually a cooler that won’t hold more than a few days worth of food actually worth $300 bucks?? Guess what folks...I absolutely LOVE this Yeti! I’ve ran it on day trips, overnighters and even a week long trip to Texas recently and I couldn’t be happier with it's performance! For me the size is perfect, it’s not heavy to travel with and it keeps things cold for days, what more could I ask for??
I would of never thought that I’d be a guy that dropped that kind of cash for a cooler and am happy I did it, but I have to say here, I am pleasantly surprised and thrilled with the Yeti Hopper Flip 18. I feel absolutely comfortable recommending it to my friends here as a purchase.
Like everything else I love though, I say try it for yourself, because what works for me my not work for you. You can find the Hopper Flip18 and all of Yeti’s products at www.Yeti.com
