JEEP LIFE AND THE GREAT OUTDOORS
"Not all those who wander are lost"
When I started CoolGuyStuff.tv it was share a passion for the things I love. One of the things I love most...my Jeep! It's not just the vehicle though, although it is very cool, it's the fun that it brings, it's the friendship, the exploration, the sense of adventure, and of course...it's the stuff! There is so much creativity and craftsmanship behind some of the products built for jeeps, I wish I had the skill to do what some of these things that these artists do. Now I'm a couple years in, the site is larger than I could of imagined it being, and although it maybe on a larger scale...it's still just me and some friends sharing our passion for the Jeep life.
TeraFlex is a brand built around that same idea. They capture the lifestyle of a Jeeper then build it into their brand in a fun, positive, interactive way. They also make some of the nicest Jeep parts on the market, so when we need anything...they are one the first on the list to look at. We use their lifts, we have their bumpers, and now we added the heavy duty JK tire carrier kit. This is a beauty too! It looks SO good installed, but like everything else with TeraFlex the quality craftsmanship brings a functionality that sets it apart from the crowd.
The Carrier is designed to carry up to a 37” tire through just about anything you can throw at it by spreading the weight of that giant tire to more than just one hinge point, and with Scott behind the wheel...we need products our built tough. Keeping the tire mounted to the tail gate also gives instant access to the cargo area just like the factory carrier. (I prefer that way more than the rear bumper tire carrier), and with weight always being an issue on the trails, the aluminum material used on the main component keeps that weight down and the strength up. Throw in the Hi-Lift Jack mount, CB antenna mount, gas and water mounts and you have one capable carrier. The install is easy, and once it's on...it's like the Jeep was designed with this kit in mind. For $750 bucks, this kit will bring design, function and peace of mind that your expensive wheel and tire is safe and sound right where it sits.
Honestly, I do have one big regret about the kit. We bought it to install on our Rubicon with the 37's, it looks so awesome and works so smoothly, I only WISH we would of picked up two. One for the Rubi, and one for the expedition Jeep!
