JEEP LIFE AND THE GREAT OUTDOORS
"Not all those who wander are lost"
I had the weirdest experience today. So, I check my Facebook and had a message from a guy that moderates a Jeep Facebook page. The guy's message...we will add you to the page again if you stop posting stuff from your website.
These were my first two thoughts. First, wait...I was deleted?? Second, this is a page where Jeepers get together to show their love for the Jeep Life. Shouldn't we all be supporting each other? It seemed odd that because I was the one that wrote something, I couldn't be the one to post it too?
I do this website because I LOVE Jeeps and the stuff I post, I have a passion for. I want to share cool stuff that I find with people that love Jeeps, and share my interests. It's not a business, I'm not selling anything. In fact, that same guy has posted the same stuff or similar stuff that I post about, to that same page. There is a lesson here though.
I was almost hurt by the message. I know I try to welcome all in the Jeep family. I try and help, and share, and just be, at some level...friends with the folks that share love for Jeeps. Is that not how most of us are?
Hmmm...I think the Jeep community is still the greatest group of folks from every walk of life I've met. I never have the opportunity to talk to perfect strangers about a top, or bumper like I do fellow Jeepers. It's just fun!
So, I vote we all enjoy each other and what each of us have to offer.we support each other. We focus on building each other up versus tearing each other down. Remember...we only have one shot at this, and after all it is called the...Jeep Life!
Ok, ok, I'll stop complaining now. :-)
