JEEP LIFE AND THE GREAT OUTDOORS
"Not all those who wander are lost"
I remember a time when halfdoors on your jeep was the cheaper option. Now if you want them you have to pay a premium. That crazy price tag makes the aftermarket half door (trail door) industry very popular to say the least. You can find everything you could possibly want out there, but there are only a few that combine style, durability and cost efficiency to,bring us a great option for half doors.
So, when we are talking trail doors I like to break it down into two categories...open or mesh doors and solid doors. An “open door” is just the frame. I’m not really a fan of those at all. A “mesh door” is simply a door with mesh sides. These look cool, but you still get a lot of air blowing through them as well as the obvious lack of protection from dirt, mud, water or anything else that could blow in the Jeep. Lastly, my favorite type,of trail door...the “hard door” which is a door with a solid side panel.
The best east trail doors I’ve seen in a long time, if not ever come from DV8 OffRoad. The industrial style combined with the REALLY nice latches give a little separation from what’s out there at this price point. The doors are very substantial and give you a sense of protection while on. You can remove the panels to open and lighten the door up, but I’ll never do that. I love the solid door best, remember?
Easy to install, the DV8 Rock Doors are the perfect trail door for the person that wants to run them for months at a time or the one who just likes to pop the doors on for an afternoon on the trail.
