JEEP LIFE AND THE GREAT OUTDOORS
This past weekend I noticed a local sporting goods store having a sale on the Mossberg 500, 8-shot, security shotgun. For less than $300 bucks! I jumped on it. This is the perfect shotgun to keep in the closet and hopefully never have to use. Well, except when it gets pulled out to the desert to have some fun.
I see it like this... If you love guns and own several... what a great tank of a shotgun to add to the collection. Low maintenance, easy on the wallet, fun to shoot, perfect! If you are buying your first home defense shotgun however... can't get better than a 12 gauge point and shooter that will cost you less than $300, right??
Of course like most, my under $300 price tag won't be that for long. There are some cool upgrades out there, and I want them!! :-)
Either way, guns are getting harder and harder to buy, and good citizens are losing their gun rights by the hour, while criminal bypass all the laws and gun up anyway. I believe outsourcing the protection of our families in our own home is definitely NOT the way I want to go.
Remember, owning a gun is a responsibility. It's not for everyone I suppose, but if you are looking... keep you eye out, great deals like this are everywhere.
Owning a Jeep means different things for people. From instant community with like minded fellow Jeep owners, to years of fun outdoors. However, I've noticed Jeep owners here in America also develop a pride of the American Made Brand. We are faithful, committed people that would love to support home grown shops and products that wear the Made in USA label.
It is exciting to help support our local businesses that have stay committed to creating their products here in America. So, if you have a local favorite or something you want to see please email me at: email@example.com
Iam a few weeks away from seeing one of the most beautiful places in America. I can't wait! Arches National Park, Here I come!!
Arches National Parts sits in Southern Utah on the Colorado River, just north of Moab. Hiking trails everyone can handle will bring you to the beauty of desert autumn sunsets, and natural sandstone arches.
If you love a good Jeep adventure like I do, or maybe some biking, hiking, or camping, the beauty of Arches National Park will never disappoint. So, grab some friends, family or both and give Arches a try. You will quickly realize that it's a great big world out there!
In this piece Joe Rogan shows us the hunt. The respect, the thrill, the sense of loss when killing an animal. You do not want to miss this!
Nothing toughens up a Jeep like a classic WW2 Jeep star, right?
Alpha Vinyl is a company that makes hood backout decals for Jeeps. They also do custom vinyl lettering and racing stripes for all you... fast and furious type folks. I stumbled across what they do one day, and sure am glad i did.
Several weeks ago I saw a picture of one of their hood blackouts and thought, man thats cool! What a great way to personalize, and give a Jeep a custom look . Did a little homework, and was even more impressed. For anywhere from $40 to $70 bucks you can change the look of your Jeep! Here are a few of their designs.
There are plenty to choose from on their website, and don't forget... you can always customize your own!
Application was a piece of cake. Now, you can order up an application kit from Alpha Vinyl direct for just a few bucks. The kit will give you everything you need to install, and there's a YouTube video from the crew to show you what to do. What I did however, worked like a charm! A bucket of soapy water, a rag, and Alpha Vinyl's custom little squeegee was all it took.
First, make sure you clean the hood. Get it nice and wet with that soapy water, place the decal where you want it, then squeegee it down. Piece of cake! To be clear... that just worked for me. By no means am i a pro, or even know what the heck I'm doing half the time, so apply your decal at your own risk, however you want. :-)
Alpha Vinyl's customer service was the best too! If you want to do something custom, without emptying out your wallet, and can use a great crew to help you through the process... Give them a look! www.alphavinyl.com
