JEEP LIFE AND THE GREAT OUTDOORS
"Not all those who wander are lost"
Well, we don't really know what the 2017 Jeep Wrangler will look like, but if it's like the pic above... I'm in! Maybe...
The biggest struggle with producing a current, new, Wrangler is finding the balance of being true to it's tradition, being true to the Jeep community that loves our Jeeps, and doing things to bring it to a place of relevance to the new "car" shopper. AKA... gas milage!
11 to 15 mpg just don't cut it anymore, for ANYONE! It looks more and more like Jeep is narrowing it down to a few choices. A change in the body weight, a new transmission, and motor size. So, here's where the questions start...
Would you be interested in a Jeep with aluminum doors and a hood to lighten the load? (YES) Would you be interested a transmission with more gears? Lastly, how would you feel about a reconfigured, smaller motor in your Wrangler? All options are on the table for Jeep, and those options seem to be getting the most attention.
I think we can solve this issue with making two models of the Jeep Wrangler. Model one is for the guy who doesn't care at all... The HEMI ! Model two is for the one who does... A deisel ! DONE & DONE !!!
You're welcome Jeep!
Every summer I strip the doors and tops off my Jeep and put them away for months without even thinking about them. As I check out the Jeep family on twitter I see a lot of you guys do the same. What I've noticed though, pic after pic, I see no side mirrors. I have the greatest solution for you guys... Olympic 4x4 Products Safari Mirrors!!!
For about $65 bucks you can pick these up, drop them into the existing door hinge, tighten them up and be done! Simple install, great price, makes you legal, and looks great. So, check out your local 4 wheel parts store and pick some up before you get a ticket for crying out loud!!
