JEEP LIFE AND THE GREAT OUTDOORS
"Not all those who wander are lost"
When I think of the ocean, I picture beautiful sandy beaches, clear blue waters, sunny skies and a paradise that can't be matched.
The reality however is quickly becoming something very different. Trash is a real problem that has to be dealt with ASAP! Here's a cool new idea that will help ocean clean up tremendously over the next decade.
The Ocean Cleanup has a plan to launch a 62 mile floating barrier that will not effect wild life, like other nets, and will cut down trash from the Great Pacific Garbage Patch (which is absolutely disgusting) about 50% over the next 10 years.
The crew is trying out a 328 foot prototype of the barrier in The North Sea. I think the most important lesson here is that the only way to truly clean our oceans up is to not ruin them to begin with.
